We recommend sporting clothes on your first visit. Bring a water bottle and footwear for when you step off the mats. Please ensure there are no buttons or zippers on your clothing, and if possible no pockets. Other than that get ready to have some fun and learn something new.

I can’t make it to Fundamentals class, is the All Levels class fine for me
Yes, most of us started without a dedicated fundamentals class. In the all levels, you will get help from a variety of partners. Our team will provide you with assistance and guide you in all of our programs.
Do I need to be in shape to start
No, there are no pre-requisites to starting BJJ and for many of our members they get in shape just by training BJJ. You will improve your cardio, strength and flexibility through warm-ups, drilling and free sparring (free rolling).
I need to suspend my membership
As we bill fortnightly, we prefer that we get two weeks notice for suspensions. If this is not possible, we do our best to adjust the next membership payment to reflect time off.
What if I am not feeling well
If you are unwell for any reason, we ask that you take a minimum of 7 days off and email admin@flowstatebjj.com.au and we will adjust your next membership payment.
