Kenny Horn - Owner/Coach

Kids Competing

Kenny is the owner of Flow State BJJ and heads the club's Kids, Youth and Teens programs while also coaching across the adult program. A Black Belt and former primary school teacher, Kenny's coaching style combines his experience in education with a practical approach to Jiu-Jitsu.

He is passionate about building a club where people of all ages can enjoy training, improve at their own pace and feel part of the team.

Tom Edmonds - Adult Coach

Tom Edmonds is a Black Belt under the Roger Gracie Association, earning his Black Belt on 7 August 2017. With years of experience and a wealth of technical knowledge, Tom brings a calm, thoughtful approach to coaching and has a genuine passion for helping others improve and develop their Jiu-Jitsu.

Trent is a Black Belt under Adam Watson, receiving his Black Belt on 28 October 2024. A true technician of Jiu-Jitsu, Trent is known for his deep understanding of the sport and regularly teaches many of our more advanced techniques. His passion for Jiu-Jitsu is infectious, and he is always willing to help anyone looking to improve. Trent also brings a creative approach to his coaching, something that reflects his background as a tattoo artist.

Matt McGuinness - Adult Coach

Matt McGuinness is a Black Belt under ADCC legend Lachlan Giles, receiving his Black Belt on 2 July 2022. With a background in MMA and a strong wrestling base, Matt brings a wealth of experience across both sport and fundamental BJJ. A highly accomplished competitor, he has also medalled at the ADCC Trials, bringing high-level competition knowledge and practical experience to his coaching.

Jordan Buono- Striking Coach

Jordan Buono is a professional kickboxer and amateur MMA fighter who brings energy, passion and real competitive experience to his coaching. Known for his smooth, technical style, Jordan has a strong eye for detail and a genuine love for the striking arts. As a coach, he is passionate about helping each student improve and is always looking to bring out the best in everyone he works with.

Will Archer- Personal Trainer

Will Archer is Flow State's strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer, bringing years of experience in fitness, nutrition and athletic development. Will holds a Graduate Certificate in Nutrition, ASCA Level 1 Strength & Conditioning accreditation and a Certificate IV in Fitness, and offers personal training sessions from within the gym.
