Uniform/Hygiene Guidelines
We pride ourselves on creating a comfortable, safe, fun and welcoming environment for all our members and visitors. Please follow these guidelines to ensure you and your teammates get the best possible experience out of training.
Hygiene
No footwear on the mats
Keep your nails trimmed and filed, no one wants to get scratched up
Cover all cuts with a waterproof band aid and sports tape, infections are spread through open wounds
Learn what a staph infection looks like and be cautious, do not train with any infected wounds
If you have a cold or any spreadable illness, Do Not Come To Class, it doesn’t matter if you feel fine enough to push through a session or really want to train, take 7 days off and let us know so we can adjust your next membership payment.
Uniform
Gi Class:
Wear a Gi to Gi class, unless prior arrangements have been made with the instructor on the day
Wear a clean Gi, wash it after every training day
Wash your belt at least once a week
Refrain from Gis with big rips and holes in them as fingers and toes can get caught
We recommend wearing a rash guard, T-shirt or high fitting sports top with a high neck underneath your Gi to help reduce skin to skin contact.
No Gi Class:
Wear no Gi attire to no Gi classes, unless prior arrangements have been made with the instructor on the day
Tops must have sleeves
Our standard uniform is Rash guard/compression top with shorts , spats or gi pants.
Gentlemen, if you want to wear spats, please wear shorts over them
*We highly recommend wearing a mouth guard for sparring
